I have created an ASP page in Dreamweaver UltraDEV 4 but when i try to preview it in browser it says that the page cannot be displayed! I have IE 5.5 and have all the files in a folder in C: and i intend to keep them there to have it something like a local intranet..Will it work like that? Because i only want to show it to my supervisor and implement it there, not upload it in the web (yet).. Any ideas?

PS:It tries to connect to http://localhost/Home_Page/TMPp1kx4dmudl.asp and all the files are stored in c:\Dreamweaver Webs\Home_Page

You have to view asp pages from a web server, you can't just open an asp page on your disk with a web browser.

Microsoft offers free web servers for all their operating systems.

Use the PWS Manager, Frontpage or another tool to create a web in your PWS.

Load the asp pages into the web (you can just drag & drop from windows explorere if you wish, the web files will be found under \InetPub\wwwroot\ on your disk.

Navigate your browser to http://localhost/myweb/myasp.asp (substituting real folder and file names of course).

asp code is processed by the web server, not your browser, therefore you must serve up your asp pages with a web server.
