Just an idea, anyone thought about producing a mod that enables members to sms each other from the forum.

well there are many different systems of sending the SMS´s available in the world, but one thing is unique... all cellulars have an email address, usually phonenumber@sms.provider.com or so...
all you really need to do is make an small INC_file for the profile, where you (with HuwR´s user fields) collect the phonenumber, and with radiobuttons choose the provider of your native region. then in the members profile, you include the option to send sms for user, that simply via the mail_popup sends an email to the cellular device. - simple as that (just remeber all content must go in the mail title field...hmmm guess a new version of mail_popup should be created?

well, since emails are universal in their format, this should work even for small tribes in the brazillian jungle. - the provider settings after the @ however you must administer in one of the following ways; either let user type it in and generate the db string from their phonenumber and the provider they type in, but most users don´t know their provider address of hand. - make an admin option to type in settings for e.g. 6 national prviders or more, and let users pick the provider with radiobuttonselection and generate db string from that.
