| Before I got started on the project of installing this forum I wznted to know what I need before jumping in over my head. Does my server need to be running something special... things like that |

You need a server that supports ASP.

Hello jezra and welcome to the Snitz Forums!
In regards to your question, no your server doesn't need anything special. Like DarlingBri, said, you need a server that supports ASP. One thing to note is that if you want to send email from your forums, then your server has to have some sort of email component or SMTP Services enabled.
In case you haven't seen the product specifications page, you may want to review the information listed there. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. There are many helpful people here willing to help.

Thanks to both of you, You both answered me amazingly fast and well.
I don't think my server supports asp, but i'll need to make sure. As I understand it, it's linux server which doesn't do asp. I'm going to email them and check.
