Yes, unless you are using a modified version that hides the Admin. I think there was one floating around that did this. |

Did you add the code to inc_top.asp that was in the readme.txt file in the active_users.zip file?
If not, I have put all of the necessary code in an include file so all you'll have to add to inc_top.asp is the following line of code just after the </head> tag:
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_whosonline.asp" -->
If you want I can either post a link to the include file, or I can e-mail it to you. |

I've been having a similiar problem with the mod. I added the "who's online" script in the inc_top.asp page. However, even when I'm logged in, it only shows me as a guest, not as a memeber.
I set strTempCookieType = strCookieURL b/c I didn't want individual member names to be shown - was this correct?
Thanks!

No it needs to be strUniqueID if you are using v3.1 SR4 |

Okay - I changed it and it works perfectly. Thanks for the help - one of these days I'm going to get the hang of this

I'm using v3.1 SR4 as well, have included the code in inc_top, and have it changed to ID, but it still shows me (admin) and everyone else as a guest... http://www.riversideonline.org/forum/

I downloaded the http://kinser.121host.net/files/inc_whosonline.zip file and placed the
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_whosonline.asp" --> before the </head> tag in the inc_top.asp
and I get the following error:
quote:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e37'
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'FORUM_ONLINE'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.
/forum/inc_whosonline.asp, line 102
Should I create a table in the DB and call it "FORUM_ONLINE"? and if so, what are the fields.
Thanks,
Mo |

Did you run the active_users_setup.asp file included in the .zip files, as this creates all the fields and tables in the database!!
