I broke it. ****. I have no idea what I did. But now I'm getting this error:
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Operation must use an updateable query.
/connexions/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 644
I didn't think I'd changed anything, but I did have inc_top, inc_functions, and inc_footer open for editing. I've replaced all of them with original Snitz dl files, but I still get the error.
****, ****, ****.
I'm running:
* File Upload * Required Files * Links Manager/Frontpage Add On * Slash Mod 2.10
...so I don't just want to reinstall. Actually, I guess I could. They're all more add-ons than mods, except for file upload, which is easy enough to deal with.
Can anyone tell me what causes that error so I don't kill myself here?
I'm such a moron! Sob.

make sure you have your read/write access on your database folder.
Off the top of my head I can't think of what else would throw this error except maybe a problem with the server (?)

Oh geeze!
OK, today's lesson, kids, is:
Don't ever convert a snitz forum to a web in FrontPage if your database is not in FPDB!
Thank you, B9er :o)))))

Snitz is not FrontPage friendly. Frontpage does stuff to the code that is NOT good.
But I guess you found that out the hard way, hee hee.

Actually, I've done three Snitz boards in FP. It's fine with FP2000. It shows you all the code in nice colour chunks. It's very easy to see the HTML (blue) as opposed to the ASP (brown) so editing is a treat.
Its some of the other FP stuff that confuses it. But as we just saw, it doesn't do it irreperable harm, at least.
Thanks, B9er, fo saving my sanity :o)

Really? How odd. Mail for that account seems fine. Weirdness, batman!
Can you send to sabrina.dent@appercept.co.uk instead?

Sorry, I was just watching a cat fight on my board
