if this only happens sometimes, it is most likely a problem with the host.

I'm getting the same error as well. I just installed the forum this morning, and by the afternoon is appears to be broken. Does anyone have ANY idea about what could be causing this?

Try to convert the database to Access 2000 and use the Access 2000 connection string. My host had this problem when they converted to Win2K (don't ask me why), but converting my database seemed to solve the problem (was much faster also....)
