Hi,
Whenever users login to my forum they get the the last_here_date reversed. Today for instance it reads 5th of july, tommorow I guess 5th of august. It doesn't matter if I change date/time to UK or US, the posting dates, however, are correct. (In the beginning off the month they get all posts "unread", because "last vist" was in feb or jan). I replaced all the asp files with the original code. I'm not an ASP, DB or Cookie expert. At the moment I'm totally clueless on how to go about it. My (non-expert) guess is to look in the Cookie department, but I really wouldn't know how to go about it.
If annyone could shed some light on the matter, I would be most thankfull. Or at least point me in some direction...

I don't think its a cookie problem. It would be the database or the queries to the database. I can't reproduce your results on my site. I've tried for the last 15 minutes. How long has your forum been running? did this just start happening? did you change the time format recently? I'm trying to think of why this would just suddenly start happening...

Hi Eric,
The forum has been running since beginning of march. Midmarch I did add the events_calender, I made some modifications to make it work. I've cleared de eventstable, and replaced the code with the original code.
I noticed the problem in the beginning of April when suddenly all posts were marked as new posts. After 4 - 4 this was no longer the case, so I didn't bother too much.
I've tried all the server_time_date-options in the admin options. Today it reads 5th of july. All the posted days are correct.
Thanks for your reply,
Namita

The problem is that your Web server is set to use a 2 digit year the date conversion functions in the forum require a four digit year, when I have a little free time I will try and work on a fix for this.

received, I have sent you a file I would like you to run, it will just extract some info about my last visit, so I can see which bit is going wrong.

Yes ofcourse. I've noticed that there are few other posts regarding this topic. I hope there will be a solution available soon. Or that I can help finding one. See you in a few weeks.

This problem is very familiar. I'm running Snitz on our intranet hosted on NT4 IIS4. My "last visited" date was backward too, until I adjusted the Regional settings on the server. I'm not sure what fixed the problem, but I changed from US english to Canadian English, ensured that the 24 hour clock was chosen, and that the date format was ddmmyy. All works correctly now.
To squash this bug, it seems to me that the date and time formatting information should be taken from a common source. For instance in the next two lines, the second date was always correct even before I made the change: --quote-- You last visited on 10 May 2001 01:09:32
3095 Members have made 19247 posts in 37 forums, with the last post on 12 May 2001 01:30:12 by: rg2000 --end quote--
Hope this helps.
