Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Operation must use an updateable query.

/nivoc/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 644

I get this message with other files like:

/nivoc/forum/admin_config_system, line 114

The code at these lines are:
my_conn.Execute (strSql)

What's the problem here and how can I fix it?

The problem is file permissions, you need to allow the IUSR_XXXXX account read/write and modify rights to the database directory
