Hi,

I'm sorry if this has been covered elswhere, but I didn't see it...

Anyway, I turned "Rank and Stars" on in the "Ranking Configuration". In this configuration window all the stars (icons) show up ok. However, when a member with stars posts, the stars won't display correctly ('missing image' symbol instead). I checked the path and file name the browser attempts to display and noticed a peculiar situation: Path names and file names match my web paths. However, the extention doesn't show up! I.e. blue_star.jpg (or whatever) would be only blue_star (no extension). I noticed that when I right-clicked the 'missing image' ('star') under IE 5.5.

I can't figure where the star icons are called from... so, any help appreciated!

Andreas.

I went to your site to take a look, but most of your forums are private.

Can you have the person that has the problem with the stars post in your test forum so I can take a look at it?

Oh, I'm sorry for that!

Go to www.madxj.com/forum
and then scroll down and look in the "Test Forum". There are only two messages. One has the same title as this message thread. Click this message and you see the missing image icon underneath my name.

Thanks,

Andreas.

Look on your rankings page. Do you have a color selected for each rank(look for the dot in the radio button)? I'm betting not

That fixed it!

Thank you.

But: here's a twist to that: I had the stars selected previously, but I also changed the numbers of posts at the same time. That doesn't work. It appears that you have to do this in two separate steps. The last step is to select the stars. All other settings are saved, but the star settings are not. Every time you open the Ranking window the star settings are erased. I am tempted to suggest that this is a bug and not a feature... ;-) Programmers of this excellent forum software may disagree, of course. :-)

Andreas.
