i am keep reciving this error

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01b6'
Object doesn't support this property or method: 'Getfile'

/forum/mods/modCMD.asp, line 37

any ideas?

At a guess, I would think it does not support the FileScripting object, however, a couple of quick questions may verify that.

Have you run the file mod_dbsetup.asp on your Forum if yes, then it does support the fso.

let me know, I will write a test script so we can check.

when i try to run the mod_dbsetup.asp the system looks up and it kills the prossesor usage.

FYI,

i am running the same script on my test machine it runns fine no errors what so ever.
the server i am running it from is win2k advanced server and the test PC is win2k professional

it certainly sounds like your server does not support the FileScripting Object

although they are running IIS5, it does not mean that they have the fso enabled, some hosts do not allow it's use due to security concerns.
