quote: hmmmm.... we're still posed with the dynamic include problem... without doing a language file for every .asp page that needs to be translated :(
hello... you can dynamically include using server.execute if language = "En" then server.execute("lang_en.asp") end if if language = "It" then server.execute("lang_it.asp") end if
it does the job.. the only problem is that it requires ASP 3.0 (Win2k Server)...
There is still alot of people using IIS4 on Windows NT and PWS (IIS4 lite) on Win95/98/ME. Not to mention Chili!Soft ASP. Server.Execute won't work on either of them.<
**** SF2000 INTERNATIONAL VERSION - ALPHA #2 **** **** THIS IS JUST A TEST VERSION - THERE ARE NO DOWNLOADS ****
Although its not a real release, the alpha version has to be checked somehow. I invite everybody to subscribe and examine the forums in the link given below. The forums include English (default) and Turkish (selectable) languages. Also included are some guidelines about the topic. To keep the traffic away from this site I put it under a site I prepare.
Additional Notes: * The Status of the Internationalization Process can be found here. * The guidelines (+FAQ, Readme, other related Documentation) for internationalization will be prepared online on the temporary site and published later. Visit the related topics on the site to get information. * The version is based on v3.3_02 (no latest hotfixes)
I think best idea to make internation forum is to use "SoftArtisans.FileManager". To change language on forum is "one click", to translate is translate onle one text file and from administration note in datebase. I almost finish I can say it isn't translated. Look on my page www.serwisant.pl then click on "Strona główna" and "Forum usterki". at the bottom of page you will see flags...<
I don't know how you found this topic which is over one year old... Please try v4 beta version to see what we mean. You can follow the link in my signature to see some demo installations here and there...
PS: I'm locking this topic as it is out of date. <
