it is not designed to be loaded on its own, it should be included in a file.

I think 2.1 is the latest.

From what I understand about the slash mod, its just a mod that places the top 3,4,or 5 topics from your forums on your front page. You can look at an example on my "not nearly finished" page. I'm not quite sure how to work the portal mod, so I've been busy just tearing apart other mods and making include files so I can place them on a default page. I'm probably doing a lot of stuff that the portal mod could do if I knew how to use it. but, alas, I don't and haven't found anyone who will explain it to me, either. Oh well. Here's my page with an example of the slash mod (far right side of page) http://galileandesigns.com/forum/default.asp

the portal mod is a lot simpler and much better explanation of how to implement it... Theres a few bugs in the portal one though and just waiting till he fixes those, The portal one is definitely cool...What it does is when a user(s) add links in the resources categories those links show where you placed the NewLinks and BestRatedLinks, the newlinks is self explanatory it's a table that shows the newest links added along with it's category and hits it recieved while the best rated shows the ranking it has recieved based along with hits.

you just include the config, inc_functions on the page you want to show the NewLinks.inc and the BestRatedLinks.inc
(of course you include the 2 inc files where you want them to show).
