Could I make a suggestion that may save you some future frustration. Before installing a mod, take a copy of your forum directory, that way, if anything goes wrong you can simply upload the working copy.
I realise with some hosts that this may be a problem, but you should always make a copy of your original, I would normally rename the file on the webserver to filename.huw, then if my changes don't work, I can delete the new filename.asp and rename the .huw file back to .asp
I make complete copies on a seperate drive on my system but failed to check the profile out of pure stupidity on my part. I forgot about the problem I had with it before...
Problem is the backed up copy is my current one running so i'm screwed.
