When I use FTP to access my web server, I don't find anything about database. Where the data is saved?

you might need to create a directory named either data, database, or db

Thanks so much, but i didn't create the directory. How come I still can post messages. Where are these message are saved?

if you have a tools directory, the db is most likely there, unless you are using SQL
