Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Cannot open database ''. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.

/forum/forum/inc_top.asp, line 42

This suddenly started happening when I go to my forum's first page. It has been working without a glitch for about 4 months. What could this be? And why now?

When this happened to me, my host had upgraded their servers to Win2K and they stopped being able to support Access 97 databases (don't ask me why). What I ended up doing is converting mine to Access2000 and using the Access2000 driver.

Live & learn, I didn't know the host could stop supporting Access 97 db's. AFAIK all version 2.x MDAC's can use A97 mdb files.

Dave, did they give you any more details?
