i know nothing about asp but i am useing this forum. when people register, just after they click the submit button instead of bringing up the confermation message it brings this up:
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed

thats what i though so i have turned off the email mode and its working properly but i used my isp smtp server was this wrong? what should i have used for it.
you need to know what your server supports, my server did not support any so i got them to install ASPEmail and it works great, but you need a SMTP server.
try doing a search for testemailcomponent here, you should find a link to an asp script which will tell you which email components are installed on your server
