Whenever I login, the message said I have logged on, but when I try to post a message, I still need to type my username and password. I am using IE5.5, the cookie was enable.
Also, I just set up my sniz forum, but I cannot find anywhere to create forum. Please help me. Thank you so much.

Can you post a link to the site ?
If you aren't logged on as admin, you won't see the icons to create new categories/forums.

I have to type username and password to post a message. No, I really cannot see the icon for admin to login to create the forum and category too. But it works fine with netscape. however, I am sure I have enable the cookie.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem with IE 5.5, while it works fine when I use Netscape. I guess it's a browser specific problem. Let's sue Bill Gates !!

Thank for your reply, but it looks like not everyone who use IE5.5 got the same problem. So I think there must be some way to solve it. If anyone know the solution, please help.

I had posted a suggestion to your other 2 posts round, guess I'll post it one more time.
Check to make sure you have Cookies Enabled. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools, Internet Options. Click on the Security Tab and click the Custom Level button. When you scroll down, you will see the Cookies options. Select Enabled for them. Or if you want to know when a website is setting a cookie, you can select prompt. It will tell you each time a cookie is being set.
Then delete your cookies and internet cache. Close down your browser, and try logging in again.

Yeah, the Temporary Internet Files. Your browser keeps a copy of the cookie in your cache. So when you delete the cookies from your computer, you still have a copy in your Temporary Internet Files folder. You can click on Tools, Internet Options. You will see the Temporary Internet Files options there. There would be a delete files button. Click on it, and it will empty your cache.

Now I have enabled the cookie, and delete the internet cache, but i still cannot "really" successfully login. That's so strange. Netscape is working fine. IE isn't. But when I use others bbs forum, they won't have this problem at all. There must be something wrong. It's hard to figure it out.

I think I just find out one thing. In the beginning, after I just finished registering, I will be in "login" status, but if I logout, then try to login back using IE. It won't really login anymore. Anyone want to logout, then try to login again?

Davio,
I've done everything you suggested and the Cookies feature has been enabled all the time. Still, whether I can login or not is totally random. It's kinda like Russian roulette... one outta every ten times or so it works.
Gor, you're right a friend of mine who is using IE 5.0 doesn't have the problem either... I using IE 5.5 do...

Run the IE5.5 installattion. It should give you the option to re-install IE5.5. That is, if you didn't delete the install files. If you did, you would need to download it again. The install files on my computer are in C:\Windows Update Setup Files\. That's where it put mine.
