This one came about because of the TimeZone Mod.
You can see what I mean here http://www.magicmushroom.org.uk/forum/
Topic & Reply Last edited field Mod v1.0 by HuwR Developed for use with Snitz Forums 2000 v3.2 alpha 6 (should work with older versions but line numbers may be slightly different)

Copy admin_mod_dbsetup.asp and dbs_editeddate.asp to your forum directory, and execute admin_mod_dbsetup.asp in your Browser. Select 'Topic/Reply Edited Date' in the drop down box, and hit the button to perform the update.
Please note for safety reasons the dbs file will be removed from your forum directory after the database is updated. if you do not wish this to happen untick the checkbox on the setup screen.
Code changes.
I have included the 3.2alpha versions of the files, but all changes are documented in the readme.

can someone give me a hand with this one i have the poll mod in and the very last part to be edited is different and i don't know how to place it in. I have 3.1 sr4 and it's the very last bit of code in the topic.asp that i need inserted for me.
Okay i was wrong i entered everything but the final part right but i still got the same error so i may need the whole topic.asp thing added for me. Theres few lines in the topic one though so anyone that can help it is much appreciated.

is it filling in the field in the database ?
If you are admin, it does not affect the last edited date

Thats what it was... I was editing as Admin... Had a scare for a second because I got a topic error just a few seconds ago but I must've hit topic by mistake and didn't fill in any questions... The creator of the poll mod might want to add error trapping for empty fields.

OK, currently, when you edit a post, it a appends a string to the message saying you have edited it, what the mod does, is rather than appending the edited by date to the end of the message, it stores it in a new field
The reason I did this was so the edited date could also be displayed in local time zone rather than forum time.
