Kerry has done a Reduce SPAM harvesting for snitz. In guestbook mod, the signer's name is in the html code.
I removed the code inserting the link, but I wonder then if the administrator can email the signer? I can't login as admin into guestbook so I don't know. If admin can mail to the visitors still, it will be all right.
I also removed the code that inserts the mailto link. At least the way I did it, there's no easy one-step way for the admin to email the signer. But there's a roundabout way. When I log in as admin and go to the guestbook, I see icons to "edit" or "delete" beside each entry. If I click on the "edit" icon, I can see the form the signer filled out, complete with the email address. I can then copy the email address and send the signer a message using my favorite email program.
As I say, it's a bit roundabout, but it's possible to get in touch with the signer if I need to.
