Is there any way to set up an access database on one server with one set of forums and share the same database on another set of forums on a differnet server or mabye even te same server. So then there can be 2 different fourums sharing the same database yet the colors are still somewhat differnet on each forum and graphics. Is this possible?? It would be nice to have seperate backround pictures and logos for each site if at all possible. Colors dont matter that much. Thanks!
you could have 2 FORUM_CONFIG tables in the database with 1 renamed and share the post tables and all the others, this would then let you change the apperence of the 2 forums.
That sounds like a good idea. How much stuff would I need to change to do this? Like how many files to change, what files, and how do I edit the database? Would I need to leave both the forums on one server or can I put them on seperate servers with the database on one server? I really know nothing about asp and this stuff but I am learning. Thanks!
It is going to be on the same server. We want the same general idea as what Slemieux has with www.drum-talk.com and www.mxtabs.net they have all the same forums but each one has their own configuration.
