Hi everyone, I came up with a problem with the Private Messages today. When I deleted a user that was no longer with the message board, my private message inbox came up with an error. I had a message in my inbox from him at the time I deleted him. I was wondering if there's a fix for this. Maybe when deleting a user, all PM from and to that user could be automatically deleted or something! Or maybe the PM code could be changed to allow messages to be kept, even if the member who sent it is no longer there!
This error could be easily duplicated. So anyone have any ideas!??

Hi all,
Again, after reviewing this error in more depth, I found that the database still has many refrences to this "DELETED USER", in private forums his a blank appeared when I tried to add users. I found this strange, so I looked at the database, and there you go this deleted users's ID was still being referenced. This seems to happen all over the database. When a user is deleted shouldn't the database be searched for references to him, and delete these references when applicable? Any ideas?
Thanks
Bryan

The Private Messages MOD is an Add-On and isn't integrated into the forum. pop_delete.asp could be modified to delete user information in the Private Messages Table as well when you delete a user. |

I realized that once I posted the message. Is private forums part of the original code? Cause it has the same problems as described above!!!
Thank you
Bryan
