Yeah, I thought maybe IP.
Is including this feature hard or something? It has been requested before, right?

I was told that the Group Cat mod would be in this new release, I didn't see anything about it in the beta, did I miss it?

In versions 3.1 SR4 the search function also looks in the signature of a post. If someone has "Athlon 1Ghz" in his signature and I would be searching for the keyword "Athlon" I would get all his posts in the search results because of his signature.
Will version 3.3 fix this?

First, you can of course debate about the question "is this a bug ?" Second, when stored in the database, the message and the signature are stored in the same databasefield. There is no way to tell them apart anymore. So no, this can't/won't be changed.

Another update:
Installed the version 3.3 code on Linux/Chili!Asp and Mysql. You can test it here: http://www.softcastle.net/~gor/V33/ Note: though mail is enabled, you won't recieve mails.
Fixed a couple of Mysql issues that were still in the code and the stars are finally working in combination with Linux/Chili!Asp

It was the last topic in the forum, all others had been archived. If I remember correctly the way it is now, if all topics in an existing forum get deleted, the last_post_by date isn't changed because the question always was "what to change it to ?"
The check has to be extended to the archived topics, so if the last topic gets deleted, also check the last_post_by_date of the archive, if there are topics in the archive, change it to that last_post_by_date otherwise leave the date. Since I don't know for sure that the code won't break (at other places) if the last_post_by_date field is empty, that isn't a real option. I know default.asp/forum.asp/topic.asp can handle that, but don't know about other newer scripts..

archiving should cope fine, since it uses the same code, just changes the tableprefix.
On my forum, I added a forum created date, which gets copied to the last post date if there are no topics in the forum

has the archive function considered topics "not to archive". I've disguss this with HuwR, I wonder if this is considered in the new release. e.g. i may post a topic such as a posting policy that I don't want to archive. (probably lock the topic at the top) topics not active dosen't mean they are out of date, they might just be no question to ask.
maybe a selection for a topic for admin/mod, to archive or not; (selection) not to archive topics locked at the top?
maybe on forum level also. option to select forum not to archive.
any ideas?

It is in there partially...the field in the datbase is there...archive function looks at the field...but the checkbox in post.asp and the store-logic in post_info.asp hasn't been coded yet. Don't know if I can get it in the first 3.3 release or that it is something that has to wait until the first Service Release...

The logic for this is all ready in the code, you should get a check box when you lock a topic, just check it if you do not want it to be archived.
