I am getting the following message. Note that I know very little about this and do not know what version of Snitz is being used either. This happens on the login.asp screen (URL in my browser).
"An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can go to admin_home.asp and look at my Profile, Members, all of those links work EXCEPT Active Topics, get the same message above.

Also, if anyone can point me to a Snitz manual I can read would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bob

There's no manual per se, and even if there was you would need more information to troubleshoot the problem.

You'll need the forum version - almost all Snitz-based forums will give you the version when you hover over the logo in the bottom-right of the footer.

You'll need to turn on detailed error messages on the server or see if your host has a way to get more detailed error information from the logs. Without a more detailed error message, troubleshooting is going to be a lot of random guessing and poking.

It would also help to know if any MODs were installed or changes made - particularly any that would impact the page(s) giving you trouble. (though it could be an unrelated MOD/change causing problems in an unexpected place - hence needed more the detailed error message)

Post a link to each malfunctioning file ("login.asp" and "active.asp") in .txt format for us to look at. There may be an obvious cause.

Version is 3.4.07. No Mods or anything, everything is the same as it was when it was working, I did not add or change anything.
Everything works up to here: http://www.discoveryowners.com/forum/login.asp?target=default.asp
However, when I log in, I get to this page: http://www.discoveryowners.com/forum/login.asp?target=default.asp
This page has the Snitz Forum info in the top right - I can click and all links work except Active Topics which brings me back to that error message. My club logo is in the top left, and below that is the All Forums folder symbol with a child folder Member Login with the error message "An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error."

I will ask a friend about getting detailed error messages on the server as I do not know how to do that.

Have you tried this on a browser other than IE?

If it worked before and it stopped working, your hosting company should be able to help.

Got it resolved. Our hosting service inadvertently turned off the Write capability on the /database folder.
Thanks for everyone's help.
