Revisiting an old issue that apparently was never solved (or at least, no solution was ever posted). If you implement the topic preview mod to "forum.asp" and a topic has quotation marks or apostrophes in it, the tool-tip display is corrupted.

best bet would probably be to replace them with their htmlcode equivalents like " and ' before putting in the tooltip

Not that familiar with the MOD, what does it do to display the tooltip ?

Strips HTML and forum code, then uses acronym to display the first 150 characters.

not sure then, apostrophes and quotes should not break the tag per se, so must be something with the parsing.
for example, this works fine in browser
The <abbr title="Snitz Forum's &quot;Home&quot;">Home</abbr>
as does
The <abbr title='Snitz Forum&apos;s "Home"'>Home</abbr>
