I did Carefree's "User Space Addon" for the "Friends" mod. And again, members LOVE it!

However; there is one issue members are complaining about. Let me explain it this way.

1. Mary sends a friend request to John.
2. John receives the email invite and clicks on the link to accept Mary's friend request.
3. Mary then receives a friend request from John. And, obviously, that should be a notification that John accepted her friend request.

I need to check and see what file I need to post for someone to look at in order to help with this. . .

Also, when members click to view their list of friends in the User Space area (where they can delete a friend) could we add a means of the members' avatars displaying in that area rather than the friend icon?

For the EMail issue:

"pop_user_space.asp"

Look toward the bottom (near line 840) and find the code about the Email, starting with "if strEmail = "1" then".

Replace it with this:

	if strEmail = "1" then
		strRecipientsName = FriendName
		strRecipients = FriendMail
		strFrom = strSender
		strFromName = strForumTitle
		strsubject = strForumTitle & " Friends' List "
		strMessage = "Hello " & FriendName & vbNewline & vbNewline
		If Request("Confirm")>"" Then
			strMessage = strMessage & "You received this message from " & strForumTitle & " because " & strDBNTUserName & " confirmed your request for friendship on the forums at " & strForumURL & vbNewline & vbNewline
		Else
			strMessage = strMessage & "You received this message from " & strForumTitle & " because " & strDBNTUserName & " wishes to befriend you on the forums at " & strForumURL & vbNewline & vbNewline
			strMessage = strMessage & "To ignore " & strDBNTUserName & "'s request, simply do nothing." & vbNewline & vbNewline
			strMessage = strMessage & "To confirm " & strDBNTUserName & "'s request, click here:  "  & strForumURL & "pop_user_space.asp?mode=friends&Confirm=1&action=add&id=" & MemberID & vbNewline & vbNewline
		End If
		strMessage = strMessage & "or, if you have already added " & strDBNTUserName & " as a friend, you can remove " & strDBNTUserName & " from your friends' list here:  " & strForumURL & "pop_user_space.asp?mode=friends&action=delete&id=" & MemberID & vbNewline & vbNewline
		%>
		<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_mail.asp" -->
		<%
	end if

There are two different icons (one shows new friends) used here. Do you want to replace both? If so, do this:

"user_space.asp"

Look for the following (appx line 817):

Response.Write  Friend_Icon & "</a></span></td>" & vbNewLine & _

Change that line to say:

						strSqlA="SELECT M_AVATAR_URL FROM " & strMemberTablePrefix & "MEMBERS WHERE MEMBER_ID=" & F_FriendID
						Set rsAv=my_Conn.Execute(strSqlA)
						If not rsAv.EOF Then
							strAv="<image src=""" & rsAv("M_AVATAR_URL") &  """ />"
							rsAv.Close
						Else
							strAv=Friend_Icon
						End If
						Set rsAv=Nothing
						Response.Write  strAv & "</a></span></td>" & vbNewLine & _

Yes, I do wish to replace both but this displayed the members' "avatar link" instead of their avatar.
