Could someone explain the difference in deleting a member's account and zapping a member?

Do both of these leave traces of the member i.e. uploaded graphics and/or posts of theirs?

Member zapping erases all data on the member including the password and email, but not the member name, it can not connect or use a nickname to open another account.

Remove a member, it no longer exists in the database, even when careful with these two commands is Irreversible

I wanted to add that there is no evidence for these two functions deleting a member and more radical than the zap, everything is deleted, the database.

Do either of these functions leave the member's posts?

Their uploaded graphics?

Deletion does. Zapping does not.

And after deleting a member, the n/a and the little graphic icon, icon_profile_locked.gif, remains in the list of members as long as that member has posts?

Hello,

Here is the place where you can remove the n / a by choosing from the list of member and tick the answers and remove member. The text on my picture is in French, but you'll also find it in your English.
