hi,
could somebody pls help me understand how to complete the installation process. i have made an empty mysql database and i've moved the files on the server. i've also edited config.asp to remove the apostrophe from in front of: strDBType = "mysql" and i've removed the apostrophe from in front of: strConnString = "driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};option=16387;server=localhost;user=name;password=pwd;DATABASE=database;" '## MySQL w/ MyODBC v3.51
i did not remove it from in front of '## MySQL w/ MyODBC v3.51 - is that ok:)
also, what is my next step? your instruction says:
quote: Open http://<yourservername>/<forumdirectoryname>/setup.asp in your browser. Follow the instructions to create the forum tables in your database.
but what instruction is that in a really long file?
TIA,

and one note to the developers of this beautiful interface - it's perfect. the only thing i hope somebody modded is that meta redirect page - it's completely unnecessary. |

Have you tried the part where we recommend that you open your browser? If you do, instructions to create the database will be shown. If you need help to determine open your browser and open the setup.asp page, do let me know. |
