Hey guys!

Been a long time, but I'm back to get some info on the updated code between these two versions. I'm working on my forums, based on Speedball 2, so I can't just throw in the upgraded files from the new version.

Is there anywhere I can lay my hands on the code edit necessary to get my 3.4.03 forums up to 3.4.07?

That's not an easy task, I suppose. Each of the upgrades includes a list of changes, that are accessible:

3.4.04: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=50249
3.4.05: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=54957
3.4.06: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=62763
3.4.07: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=68405

You either go through each of the differences, or get a tool like Beyond Compare and do a full folder compare between the two versions. Either way, there is quite some work for you.

Thanks, ruirib. I'm stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea on this one. I think taking a clean 3.4.07 and re-speedball-ing it would take just as long.

Would you know of any database changes between the two versions?

I can't be sure, to be honest. 3.4.07 definitely adds new stuff, to counter spam. I could swear there were no changes to the previous versions, but I can't be totally sure. Probably there are new config variables added to the CONFIG_NEW table, though.

Cool. Looks like the safest way is to re-work a copy of 3.4.07

Be sure to check the security fixes forum, as well. I think we have updated the downloaded with the latest fixes, but it's always good to check the fixes to 3.4.07 are applied.
