Hi,

I have my forum on an Arvixe server named AVEN.

Whenever I try to compact the Access database I get the following error.

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

You attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user 'Admin' on machine 'AVEN'. Try again when the database is available.

/admin_compactdb.asp, line 104


I have a user named Admin. Would the solution be to just delete the user or would this cause even more of a problem. I'm logged in under different user name.

Stop looking everyone - I found a solution.

I downloaded the MS JetComp Utility and then downloaded a copy of the Access database and used Jetcomp to compact. Worked like a charm.
