I have set the forum to Restrict Registration but it does not put new registrants into the member pending area. E-mail Server Configuration settings Select E-mail Component: ASPEMail E-mail Mode: Off E-mail Server Address: My Forum Server Address Administrator E-mail Address: My Forum Admin Address Require Unique E-mail: On E-mail Validation: On Filter known Spam domains: On Restrict Registration: On Require Logon for sending Mail: On Number of posts to allow sending e-mail: 10
When I do a test registration it automatically registers the users apparently bypassing the pending member function. My Toast forum has over 9,400 registered and spammers have taken over which is why I'm moving to Snitz.
The Toast Forum was started over 8 years ago with no restrictions. BIG MISTAKE! Any help will be appreciated.
E-mail mode has to be "On" for restrict registration to work as it needs to send the person an email letting them know that their registration is pending.
Thanks. I thought I did that yesterday. Either way it worked. I now need to go to around line 656 and change the time. I forgot the file but will go back to the FAQ and get it. Again thanks.
