I have been getting a load of spammers recently so tried to set up the e-mail verification registration but when the user clicks on the link in the e-mail to verify the page does not load and the user can't complete registration - any ideas?
I have checked the instructions for set up and have the files (except the database)in a folder called "forum" in the root directory and wonder if this is where the problem is as the link seems to be directing to the registration.asp file in the root. I tried moving it ther but just got a 404 error when trying the link again.
My site is connected to a school so the spammers are very unwelcome and rendering the forum useless until I can restrict the spammers.
I have just checked and it was pointing at the main site page rather than the forum so I have corrected it. Hopefully that fixes it. Thank you, I have spent days trying to work it out and typically it is something blatantly obvious!!
