Okay, here i go.....

How can i create a forum that EVERYONE can look in... but only selected members can post in?

I really need to do this!!

You can lock the forum and make the "selected members" moderators of that forum.

Im not trying to be clever, but thats what i was finkin of doin!!

Thnx for the help!!

BTW- i lovethis forum!! Its sooo cool!

One problem i have though is i cant lock the topic!! HELP!

You mean the topic here, you can't do that yourself unless you are moderator or administrator...

(or wasn't that what you meant ?)

I'm a moderator of my own board, but when i try to lock the topic (on my board) i cant! It brings up a HTTP500 internal server error!

Please help!

Coul you switch of "friendly errormessages" in Internet Explorer so you can see what the exact error is (what file / line in file / errordescription) ?

This is the error he is getting:
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03f6' 

Expected 'End' 

/forum/pop_lock.asp, line 174
Either he modified the pop_lock.asp file and left out an end if on line 174, or he used Frontpage and it messed up the file. You could probably try putting an 'end if' on line 174.
