Our site has suddenly been plagued by Chinese bots. The IP addresses are in the ranges 124.115.0, 124.115.4 There are 13 on our site at the moment. They aren't getting past our index page though. I have banned them using IPGate, but they are still there, when I look at Active Users. I presume IPGate is working because I have other banned IPs that are no longer appearing. Any explantions why these are getting through?
Many thanks for a prompt response. I did wonder, as they did sit there for some time. There are none there this morning, so I guess they have got the message!! I hadn't appreciated that the gate doesn't throw them off completely, just that they sit with the home page and message.
