A user just complained as she wanted to post a very long guide (over 10000 characters) and the last part of it was somehow cut off in the middle. Just wanted to ask if there is any hard limit for the post message size or if that was a client related problem.

No there isn't any limit, but other issues could cause the problem.
What database are you using?

I'm using Microsoft SQL 2005. Never had problems with the database regarding timeouts or "really bad" performance. I already thought its a client sided problem as the DB field is nText which should be able to hold quite large amounts of text, right?
