Im sure I know the answer to this, but ill ask anyway! is there a way to get a topic back after it has been deleted?

For Access and MySql (as far as I know MySql): nope, no way to retrieve it.
For Sql Server: you might be able to retrieve it using the transactionlogs of the database, but you can't retrieve it using the forum itself.
