Just because it appears that no one is accessing your site, it is not always the case. Have you heard of "visitors"? (rhetorical question) There could be visitors or a robot sending SQL injections via pages, which could be why the ldb file is there.
Could be that the base code for your site (not the forum) doesn't like being wrapped around the forum as it has a memory leak for something else. I would remove the mods and make sure that they are not causing the issue. From memory, the Site Integration Mod does use the DB to keep it's settings on width and height and which parts you want to use and this could be your issue.
