Hi all, im having a strange problem, I have installed quite a few Snitz Forums, and this has bee a while ago, but im doign a new one, and I get this when I uplaod the forum and try going to the setup.asp page for the first time...

First, I get 'The database needs to be installed'

so I click on 'Create the tables' and enter the username and password.

Then I get this...

Please Wait until the installation has been completed !
Error: -2147467259	Field 'FORUM_MEMBERS.M_FIRSTNAME' cannot be a zero-length string.
strSql: INSERT INTO FORUM_MEMBERS (M_STATUS, M_NAME, M_USERNAME, M_PASSWORD, M_EMAIL, M_COUNTRY, M_HOMEPAGE, M_LINK1, M_LINK2, M_PHOTO_URL, M_SIG, M_VIEW_SIG, M_SIG_DEFAULT, M_DEFAULT_VIEW, M_LEVEL, M_AIM, M_ICQ, M_MSN, M_YAHOO, M_POSTS, M_DATE, M_LASTHEREDATE, M_LASTPOSTDATE, M_TITLE, M_SUBSCRIPTION, M_HIDE_EMAIL, M_RECEIVE_EMAIL, M_LAST_IP, M_IP, M_ALLOWEMAIL) VALUES(1, 'webmaster', 'webmaster', 'a8435f7ed53c51e5f1c29de0b384a7a46da48db8b43df423fe64be9f54cde4ed', 'yourmail@server.com', ' ', ' ', ' ', ' ', ' ', ' ', 1, 1, 1, 3, ' ', ' ', ' ', ' ', 1, '20090803195308', '20090803194808', '20090803195308', 'Forum Admin', 0, 0, 1, '000.000.000.000', '000.000.000.000',1)

The Installation has NOT been completed !

If I press retry, the same thing happens.

If I press on chekc the database, it says it has been completed and if i then go to the forum it is as if it has created it correctly but when I try and go to admin, it says the user/pass i used to create does noe exist...

this is a new install from a new download...

Any help please?

thnak you in advance

it would appear that when the download was updated with the latest security patch, the wrong database was uploaded, it should be fixed soon, please watch this space.

Hi. I set all fields in the forum_members table to allow non-zero values in a vanilla instance of the Access db. Uploaded this and ran through setup again and it worked fine.
