Has anyone set up the Proeder's upload mod to be able to upload more than one file at a time? Can this be done?

Also, can it be set to email the admin when a file has been uploaded?

Emailing the admin would be simple, I don't know about the multiple files though.

I would be grateful for the email the admin upon upload.

The multiple file upload was just a thought. I don't really think I need it. I was just wondering if it could be done without being too difficult.

In "outputfile.asp", search for the following line (appx line 76):

Response.Write	"</head>" & vbNewline

After it, insert the following:

strRecipients = strSender
strRecipientsName = strForumTitle
strFrom = strSender
strFromName = strForumTitle
strSubject = strForumTitle & " File Upload "
strMessage = "The following file:" & oldfilename&"."&extension & " by:  "&MemberName&vbNewline & vbNewline
%>
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_mail.asp" -->

Works perfectly Carefree! Thanks!

Can it also show who uploaded the file? I was trying to tweak this:

strMessage = "The following file was uploaded by "membername"

But didn't know what to put there. I tried:

strMessage = "The following file was uploaded by " & strDBNTUserName & "

but it doesn't work.

Simple enough. Change last line above to say:

strMessage = "The following file:" & oldfilename&"."&extension & " by:  "&MemberName&vbNewline & vbNewline

Thank you Carefree! It works great!

On my other question at the top of this thread, I've decided not to do multiple uploads. I have however added a link on the outputFile.asp page to go back to pop_upload_new.asp if they wanted to upload another file:

However, most of the time, not always, clicking the link causes the pop up to be minimized. It does go to pop_upload_new.asp but because it is minimized it appears to the member that it was closed. In Safari it goes behind the main window. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

If you want to test it out my demo login is:

Here is how I did the link:

"              <td bgcolor=""" & strForumCellColor & """ align=""center""><font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strDefaultFontSize & """ color=""" & strDefaultLinkColor & """><br><a href=""pop_upload_new.asp"">Upload Another File</a><br><br></font></td>" & vbNewLine & _

Change it to say:

"              <td bgcolor=""" & strForumCellColor & """ align=""center""><font face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ size=""" & strDefaultFontSize & """ color=""" & strDefaultLinkColor & """><br><a href=""pop_upload_new.asp"" target=""_self"">Upload Another File</a><br><br></font></td>" & vbNewLine & _

Thanks for that. I think that helped with most of the browsers. It seems that Safari is a bit stubborn. For some reason it likes to put the window in the back when I click that link.

I looked in its Preferences > Tabs and checked the box that said "When a new tab or window opens, make it active" hoping that would correct it but it doesn't. Anyone an expert on Safari and know why it behaves this way?
