When doing a "reply to a member's email" on a topic it looks as though the email address shows, at least for the admin and mods. I thought it was supposed to be hidden (originate from my email server). Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding? |

A member emails another member using the "Email Poster" option right above the topic message. It uses the email client (which in my other forums hides the Emailer's address). The emailer's address now shows in the email.
This is happening when one of my mods emails a user, or when that user emails the mod. |

However, I'm beginning to think this on purpose, right?
I mean, a member can choose whether or not to have other members email them, and if so, then they expose their own email account? I just never noticed this before on my other forums (and users are complaining about it). But if this is the way it is, then I'll just tell them to turn off "allow email" in their profile. |

I guess the sender knows it's own email address, right, so what's the problem of showing it? You should be aware that this address is shown only when someone is logged in and is the address of the logged in member. It is not disclosed to anyone else, other than the email address owner. |
