See http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=68761#392118 for background (if you want)
The "rogue" has been happily (to me) moved out of his super admin status, thank you very much.
He became a bad-acting and abusive personage in the admin section, afterwards, and was vitriolic in the public forums. After warnings, using the dread super admin utility, I locked his account.
While acting as the Head Dude and Hand of God, weasel-rogue had appointed several unneeded cronies as co-admins.
I presume one of them undid the restriction in access.
This happenned a couple times, and I can't watch the gate all the time, and as far as I know, there isn't an "access log" availble to monitor which admin is doing this.
So, I changed the Weasel-Rogues password to something like nastyman, although it was far nastier and rememberable than that.
Which the "insider" cannot "undue".
However, he (the insider) DID undo the "IP Lock" and "No new members can register" selection,
so sure as sxxx, Weasel re-signs up with a new user name, and continues his crap.
So I just delete his objectionable posts, and change his password to the same thing as above.
I have posted a warning in the admin forum that no changes should be made.
I may have to demote, wholesale, about 8 admins.
I was thinking about demoting them to moderators, but leaving their titles as admins Is there a better way?
thank you.

A look at server logs surely will tell you who tried to undo your actions (if they were recent). Also, IPgate (which you seem to have) can keep a log of all that is done, so you can check who does what. Needs to be set for that, but if you have it installed, you can do it. Probably better to know who does what, so that you can demote those that need demoting... |
