If I enter in eer.com (leaving out the @ symbol) for an e-mail address while registering here at Snitz and press Submit, I get the following error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'

Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid'

/forum/register.asp, line 413

Is this normal?

Thanks Shaggy!

The fix that Huw listed does check for the presence of the @ symbol, it doesn't seem to check for the presence of the period which is also required to be present for e-mail address to be valid? That's what I am getting at.

The EmailField check before that one ensures that the address is valid.

Hmmm, I guess I am not saying this right. LOL!

Well, what would cause the error I mentioned in the problem above here on this web site that this topic is on now? Or has the fix just not been applied here yet?

Sorry, didn't realise you were talking about this site; the fix hasn't been applied here yet - it's on Huw's "to do" list
