I may be wrong on this, but I think I remember in a version or so before that Snitz used a pop-up calendar for folks to enter in their birth date within the profile. If that is like I remember, what was the reason for going from that to the drop-down menu?

There were some usability issues with the calendar. Fewer people are able to screw up a drop-down menu.
