I have been using Snitz on my client's website for a few years, and while it works very nicely, I see that the base code has not been updated in quite some time, and there don't seem to be plans to update it in the near future.

I was wondering if there was software out there that could convert my current "snitz" database for use with some other board software. I haven't investigated into any other board software, but if there was conversion software out there, I might consider picking a particular board because of the conversion software.

Please note that I am not saying anything negative about the snitz forum. I am know there are many satisfied users out there, and I am currently one of them. I just want to get something more advanced without having to do any programming.

there is an update currently being sorted for release, it should not be far off, and you can in fact download it from sourceforge right now, it just has not had an official announced release yet. and just because something ahsn't been updated why jump to the conclusion that there are no plans to do so. Obviously if you wish to use something else just because it is newer then feel free, but we certainly won't be providing anything to migrate you to it, surely that would be to their advantage not ours, so you should be asking the question at their sites not ours.

FYI just because something hasn't been updated does not mean it is any worse than any other package, perhaps you should look at it differently, and assume that it serves the purpose it was intended for and therfore does not require updating.

First, thank you for the updated information.

Second, I tried to make it clear that I was not saying anything bad about the Snitz forum software. I have no complaints. It does what it is supposed to do, and for hundreds (if not thousands) of people it is a perfect fit.

There are, however, other features that are common out there that I would like to see, and I would like to see them without my having to do any programming. I will check out your latest version to see if that will help.

Thank you.

I took a look on sourceforge, but I find the site to be confusing to me, and I am unable to find any files to download from the "snitz web app" project. Where should I look for the download?
