From a novice: How do I clear a huge list of posts.
I have been from admin control deleting the member then going into the forum and deleting each individual post. Some spammers leave anything up to a hundred posts at a time.
As I said I am a novice, I assume that there is an easy answer.

Question: is it possible from admin an option to delete a member and all post with one click?

There's a MOD out there to help: http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=79

And there's a guide for dealing with spammers: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=65057<

Found the problem:
When saving admin_etc.asp while off line into Macromedia the first three lines are changed to:
<!--#INCLUDE file="file:///C|/DOCUME~1/keith/LOCALS~1/Temp/Temporary Directory 3 for admin_tools-3304-11.zip/config.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE file="file:///C|/DOCUME~1/keith/LOCALS~1/Temp/Temporary Directory 3 for admin_tools-3304-11.zip/inc_sha256.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE file="file:///C|/DOCUME~1/keith/LOCALS~1/Temp/Temporary Directory 3 for admin_tools-3304-11.zip/inc_header.asp" -->
but should read
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="config.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_sha256.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_header.asp" -->
now working
Thanks<

All good. I think I'd change editors, though ;-)<

So for any dumbees like me, this is what is done and what you get:

Check out and do as much as you can with:
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=65057

then download:
http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=79
and unzip, you get three files and a read me file:

Change or add the strings (lines) in the admin_count.asp and admin_home.asp as is in the readme file.

Upload to your web forum admin_etc.asp
check that the first three lines have not been altered by your aurthering prog.
looks like this:
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="config.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_sha256.asp"-->
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_header.asp" -->

You will in admin now have a new section "admin tools" you can select the member(spammers) and all post made by same in one go, if you are deleting members(spammers) with only one or two posts its quicker to do it the old way, as after the delete, the forum does an update of forum counts, so best use new tool to delete members(spammers) with multiple posts

suggestion: It would be nice if when in admin you click to delete a member an extra tick box can be checked (and delete all post) and without the forum doing a full update forum count, if only life was so simple.

Something similar has been added to 3.4.07 - the "Zap Spammer" MOD was added as was the one I linked to above. Davio is tidying up the last few things for the relase, but you can download the code from SourceForge now if you really wanted to. I probably should have suggested it in the beginning... just didn't think of it until now. <

Thanks Anonjr:
With this mod http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=66342 you still have the same problem, you still have to delete each entry in the forum, some can be in the hundreds.
Is it possible with this mod to include "delete all entries", now that would make life simple.

With the first mod http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=79 it would be helpful if the name list was in reverse order so you would not have to scroll the list each time to delete the last entries, also if after delete the full update forum count did not happen, as this slows down the whole procedure.
