In the Feature Configuration the Admin can set the Highest level of Subscription. We have set this to Subscribe by Forum, so that the moderators are informed when there is a new post in their Forum. This means that also the Forum users can subscribe to this. As 90 % of the new topics are spam (e.g. gambling or erotic)this means that the subscribing users get a lot of spam emails. All they want is to be informed when there is an answer to their topic. But they of course are not familar enough to the system to click on the correct button. Is there anyway to allow Subscribing to the forum only for moderators?
With some code modification, it may be possible. But to be honest, I usually encourage people to look into using an RSS feed when they start mentioning "subscriptions" and "lots of email" in the same post.
