Hello,

I'm trying to use two forums on two different websites hosted on the same server.

The forum files are located in: myserverspace/subdirectory1/forum and myserverspace/subdirectory2/forum. The two seperately named access databases are in myserverspace/databasefolder.

My problem is that when I alter the info in the Main Forum Configuration area of the control panel on one, it changes the info in the other, i.e. the logo in the corner, forum name, location, etc.

Anyone have any idea how I solve this?

Many thanks in advance!<

The app variables are crossing over a little. Its been noted before in previous topics, and I'm a little fuzzy on the solution.

If memory serves its because to the program, the proper cookie folder is "forum" for both. Again, based on my failing memory, in the past the solution was to hard-code the subdirectory name (or some other differentiating name) in strCookieURL, found in config.asp<

yep, change strCookieURL for one of the forums. also ensure you have the cookie mode set to forum and not website in admin options<

Thanks for your speedy advice, guys.

I think you were right about the confusion the program was having with the two ../forum folders.

I have altered the name of the folders so that they are different to one another (i.e. ../forum1 and ../forum2) and it now seems to work.

Thanks again.<

Als changing the variable "Snitz00" in one of the two into "Snitz01" helps a lot.
Had the problem that the old version was still on the server (as back up) but every time I closed it, it reopend when I logged in on the other version.<

Info about my forum: http://www.govvd.nl/forumsoftware.htm list of Mods included.
Most of userinterface translated into Dutch.
