Hi all, I am looking for a hosting company that will allow me to send mail to my members from my forum. My current host will not allow me to do this quoting spamming issues, yet I have mentioned in the terms that we may contact them occasionally (i have had the forum for 4 years and not sent an email yet!) it is only for very occasional notifications. i have just short of 3000 members.
my question is do you know any company that i could use for this service, that doesnt charge a lot?? i would only want to send out very occasional emails, maybe once every three months?

Hosting discussions aren't allowed here. There are a number of hosting-centric forums out there that have lists and reviews of the various hosts out there. I would recommend reading many reviews and compiling some results from there. Don't just go with the main "review" type sites as some hosts post deliberately misleading information. And I wouldn't just go based on forum topics as I've read a number of complaints over the years that had more to do with the programmer than the host if you catch where I'm drifting... <
