Hi I wonder if anyone can help. After I manually approve a new member, the activation link leads to a directory listing for the site. Is anyone familiar with this?
Apologies for the new post: I did search for a solution, but so far haven't found it.
Any reply appreciated.< |

If you have time we could go through the process. Site is www.transitionbuxton.co.uk and follow links via "Exchange Ideas"< |

Huw This does appear intermittent. Is there any time limit for the validity of the activation link?
The problem cropped-up this morning for someone who had delayed activation for 4 days?< |

no their is no time limit, and if there was they would get a 'key not found error' not a directory listing< |

Thanks Huw, I do appreciate your help. I've experienced this problem a few times now. I'll try to spot a pattern in case others are expeiencing the same issue.
Here's a dump of the email I received from the user:

Thanks again Bob< |

I would say that this seems to be a problem with your web server. Somehow, the server seems not to be able to process the request and just lists the file in the root directory. You need to talk to your host, I'd say.< |

definately looks like a server problem, the first thing you should do is get your host to turn of directory listing, it is really a very bad idea to expose your website files in that way.< |
