I want to manually authorise new members. Is there a setting I can use for this? I have my forum set to 'Allow New Members' but not to 'Require Registration', but can't see the

I want people to be able to register, but not post until I have checked their details - is this possible?

Many thanks.

You have to require registration. Under EMail Server configuration, turn E-Mail validation off.<

Use 'Require Registration' as Carefree suggests. Admin menu will then include a 'Pending Members' link.

If you are satisfied with the applicant's request, you can 'Activate' the member in the Admin 'Pending Members' page. I believe that is the 'manual activation' process you are looking for.<
