Hi...

I can approve pending members, but when i go to activate their account, it says:
"Sorry, we are not accepting any new Members at this time."

How long is this going to stay like that for? Is it something that the admins are aware of
I need the specific user to post important messages on our forum, so they need to be avtivated asap!!

Please HELP!
Thanking you in advance.

Are you not an Admin at the forum? Unless the site was modified you should only be able to approve pending members if you are an admin yourself...

If you are not an Admin yourself you need to talk to them and/or the person who made the changes as there's not much we can do without knowing what was changed.<

I am an Admin, so yes I am able to approve and activate accounts, but this is the first time I have seen this message.
The site hasn't been modified in any way, which makes me wonder why I am getting such a message.
Is it linked directly to Snitz Forums, or is it my particular forum?

Are you the only admin?

And yes, this is likely only a problem with your forum as I've never seen something like this before... what version of the forum software are you using?<

Also, if this is the first time you're seeing something like this than something has been changed - a setting, the code, the server... something. We just need to figure out what.<

Hi, I looked through some of the forum settings and 'Prohibit New Members' was turned 'ON'; for what reason I have no idea!
I've now got my new member up and running.
Thanks for your help and prompt replies!<

Glad you found it.

As I mentioned before, things don't just "get changed" unless someone changed them. I would go through your Admin list and make sure that only those that are supposed to be there are there. Also, if you haven't already, make sure you're using the latest version of the code and have applied all the updates. There's a new point release due out as soon as Davio finishes the last little bit.<
